Duanesburg – Vernon W. Salisburg, 61, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday February 15, 2015.
Born in Niskayuna, he was the son of the late Wendell A. and Ruth E. Day Salisburg.
Vernon graduated from SUNY Delhi and worked many years at Atlas Copco Prime Energy.
Vernon was a lifetime member of the Duanesburg Fire Department and past member of the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He was also a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Hoffman Salisburg.
His daughter; Amanda Salisburg of Framingham, MA.
His sister; Joy Barnhart of Duanesburg.
Vernon is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held Friday from 4-7 p.m. at White-VanBuren Funeral Home 1779 Main St., Delanson, NY 12053.
Funeral services will begin 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
