Thomas Cooper

d. December 18, 2013

On December 18, 2013, Thomas J Cooper, age 70, greeted our heavenly father with a warm and loving embrace. Tom grew up first in Delanson, NY and then Ballston Lake NY for his high school years. Tom proudly served in the US ARMY during the Vietnam War until 1967. Tom apprenticed at the Schenectady Gazette and worked as a professional printer for 32 years; retiring in 1995. Tom also worked as a school bus driver for Duanesburg Central School District for 17 years. Tom was the son of Harry and Alice Cooper of Ballston Lake NY. Tom had three brothers (Harry, Teddy, and Billy) and two sisters (Irene Perea and survived by Sandy Seibert in California). In 1968, Tom married Ellen Elizabeth Donahue and settled in Duanesburg NY where
they raised their family. Tom enjoyed playing golf, attending car shows with his 1966 Mustang, hunting, and most recently, as a member of the Crescent Boat Club on the Mohawk River.  Above all others, Tom enjoyed spending time with his family. Tom was very involved with his family and made every effort to attend as many activities, sporting events, and concerts for his children and grandchildren as possible.  Tom will be greatly missed by his wife Ellen, sons Scott (Julie) and Brian (Kelly), and daughters Renee (Scott) Butcher, and Robyn-Ellen (Mark) Messare. Tom also leaves behind his eight grandchildren, ages 4 – 15, whom he adored.
