Delanson

Stephen Manrell, beloved son, brother and friend passed away March 26, 2026 leaving behind a legacy of kindness, curiosity, and a deep love for the natural word. Born June 10, 1966 from an early age Steve found joy in the quiet beauty of wildlife, especially birds. Whether watching them soar overhead, listening to their songs at sunrise or sharing his knowledge with others, he had a unique ability to connect with nature in a way that inspired everyone around him. His appreciation for the outdoors was not just a hobby, it was a reflection of his gentle spirit and deep respect for life.

Above all, Steve cherished his family and friends. He was the kind of person who showed up offering support, laughter, and a listening ear whenever it was needed. His warmth and loyalty created lasting bonds, and his presence made others feel valued and understood. He will be remembered for his compassion, his quiet strength and the way he found beauty in the simplest moments. His love for nature lives on in every bird that takes flight and every peaceful moment spent outdoors.

Steve is survived by his loving mother Frances, his sister Susan, brothers David and Christopher, daughter-in-law Amanda, nieces Keri, Allison, Victoria, Maxine, nephew Dane and many dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts forever. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

In keeping with Steve's love of nature in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Landis Arboretum in Esperance, NY.

Arrangements by White Van Buren Funeral Home, Delanson. Condolences can be posted at whitevanburenfuneralhome.com.
