Raymond A. Warner, 81, of Wright, passed away on July 7, 2016 at Ellis Hospital after a short illness. Ray was born on December 12, 1934 in Guilderland, NY to Lavinna Seely Smith Warner and Henry Hiram Warner. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged in 1956. Ray was a retired Carpenter, and built many homes in the area. He enjoyed NASCAR, fishing camping and traveling in his RV.
In addition to his parents, Ray was also predeceased by his first wife, Marianne Pofahl, whom he married in 1956, two brothers; Harold and David Warner and his sisters; Cora, June and Beatrice.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Warwavesyn Warner, five sons; Mitchell Warner of Florida, Joel Warner of TN, Dale Warner of Delanson, Dean Warner of Alabama and Scott Warner of Esperance, his sister; Bernice Spoor of Cobleskill, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service, with military honors, will be held on Tuesday, 2 pm at Grove Cemetery in Quaker St. NY.
