Patricia N. Weppler, 89, of Delanson, NY, died on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Born on October 26, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Hemmer McCarthy, and sister of the late Irene McCarthy Delaney.
Pat was a graduate of Saint Joseph's Commercial High School. Van Dolan's Ice Cream Parlor, McCaren Park pool, Rockaway Beach and Copake Lake were some of the places Pat frequented while growing up. In 1956, she married the love of her life, the late Lawrence R. Weppler, and they set up house in Flushing, Queens. Pat was a Speed Typist for Equitable Life in Manhattan until baby Patricia came along in 1964.
During these busy years, Pat taught CCD at Queen of Peace School, was Editor of the Queens Valley School newspaper, Class Mother and Vice President of the Parent's Association. Many happy times were had all over Long Island on their beautiful boat, the Patricia, II, until the Weppler family moved to Duanesburg, NY in 1977.
City life and boating were traded for adventures in the country and working on their Eaton Corners Road Homestead. In between home improvement projects, Pat was a Hostess at the Hub Restaurant, an active local volunteer and Duanesburg Court Clerk for Justice Rita LaBelle for many years.
Pat retired when she was 75 years old and spent good times at home with her family, which always included dachshunds and cats.
Pat was the devoted mother of Patricia L. Weppler and Kevin M. Kaczmarek, both of Delanson, NY. She was the dear Godmother of Patricia Koslab, Karen Morganthaler, Elizabeth Lennon, Kieran Sanders and Thomas Fleming.
Pat was predeceased by her best friend of 60 years, Theresa Martin Barberi. If you hear sounds of laughter, they are playing Canasta in Heaven.
Interment will be at the Saratoga National Cemetery.
