Mariaville/Pattersonville - Leona M. Smith, 102, passed away at St Mary’s Hospital Amsterdam after a brief illness. She was born in Glenville NY on April 18, 1913 a daughter of the late Cortland and Edna Masters Gurley.
Leona attended Woestina High School and graduated in 1931.
Her beloved husband Clarence and her infant son Clarence Jr predeceased her
Leona was a member of the Christ Church of the Hills for over 67 years, a former member of the Ladies Aides Society, and a member of the Woestina Woman’s Club. She was also a member of the Scotch Ridge Grange # 1529 the State National Grange and the Schenectady Farm Bureau.
Leona is survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday November 14, 2014 at 10 am at Christ Church of the Hills Mariaville Road Schenectady. Interment will be in Chuctanunda Cemetery Minaville. Donations maybe made to the Christ Church of the Hills
