Kimberly Eve Whitbeck

Kimberly Eve Whitbeck, a beloved member of the Duanesburg community, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026, at Ellis Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Born on April 21, 1963, in Colonie, New York, Kimberly was a cherished daughter of Raymond and Violet Whitbeck. 

A graduate of the Duanesburg Central School District, Kimberly's life was filled with creativity, dedication, and a deep sense of community. She worked with grace and diligence throughout her career, beginning with the original Woolworth Corporation, and later contributing her talents to Rue 21, the GAP, and ultimately the Victoria's Secret Corporation at Crossgates Mall. 

Kimberly was a longtime, devoted member of the Duanesburg Florida Baptist Church. Her commitment to the community was evident through her involvement in the Arts & Crafts building at the local Altamont Fair, a tradition she maintained with her mother since the 1970s. Together, they also organized the Duanesburg High School Baccalaureate service, a testament to their dedication to the youth of their community. 

An avid arts and crafts enthusiast, Kimberly's creativity knew no bounds. There wasn't a needlepoint, sewing project, puzzle, or craft creation she couldn't master. Her artistic spirit was a source of joy and inspiration to those around her. 

Kimberly is predeceased by her parents and brother, Timothy Whitbeck, and is survived by her loving siblings, David Whitbeck, Andrew Whitbeck, and Hollie Whitbeck Melucci. Her family, along with countless friends and community members, will forever cherish the memories they created with her. 

A service to celebrate Kimberly's life will be held on August 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bramans Corner Union Cemetery, located at 243 Herrick Road, Delanson, NY 12053. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Kimberly's memory to the Baptist Health, Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, 297 Ballston Rd, Scotia, NY 12302. 

The family shares a special message from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8, reminding us all of the natural rhythms of life: "To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven..." Kimberly's life was a beautiful testament to these words, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
