Keith J. Steadwell

Esperance - On Friday, December 10, 2021, Keith J. Steadwell, 89, of Esperance, passed away at Ellis Hospital following a brief illness.

Keith was born in Duanesburg, the son of the late Clarence and Marion McDuffee Steadwell. Following his graduation from Duanesburg High School, Keith joined the U.S Army and was honorably discharged in 1954. He had a long career at General Electric working as a machinist, retiring in 1988. Keith was an honorary life member of the Esperance Elks.

Throughout his life, Keith loved to fish, hunt, play cards, go to the Casino, and watch baseball.  In recent years, Keith most enjoyed going to Stewarts for coffee to visit and catch up with friends (especially Bob).

In addition to his parents, Keith was also predeceased by his brother Barton Steadwell who died in 2000.

He is survived by his daughter, Tracey Steadwell of Howes Cave, his beloved granddaughter, Becca (Jack) Moore and great granddaughter Avery Layne Moore, four sisters, Jane Lansing, Audrey Trudell, Lucy Bellinger, and Vala Jackson as well as several loving nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, 11 am at Esperance Cemetery in Esperance, NY.
