Jane E. (Atkinson) Hallfors

Jane Ellen (Atkinson) Hallfors, 77, of Linden Ponds, Hingham, MA, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, November 5, 2023. Born in 1946 in Schenectady, NY, she was the daughter of Clifton and Mary Louise (Bonneau) Atkinson. Jane graduated from Schenectady High School in 1964. She was a 1968 graduate of SUNY-Oneonta. Jane was a reading and English teacher at Yates Elementary for 32 years. She was an avid baseball fan, following all her favorite teams daily. Jane loved to walk and enjoy nature and running into friends along the way. Her goal in life was to make people smile and laugh.

Jane was predeceased by her husband of 30 years, Lauri Hallfors. She leaves behind his sister and brother in law, Nancy and Richard Buttermore of Attleboro, MA and their children, Sarah and Nicholas DiCarlo of Attleboro, MA and Kaitlyn and Derek Sabatini of North Attleboro, MA along with their children, Lillian and Emma. She will be greatly missed by her four close friends from college, her German Bund - Marie, Caroline, Liz and Mary.
