James "Jim" E. Bobar

Rotterdam - James “Jim” E. Bobar passed away on Saturday, July 17. Born in Schenectady, NY, he was the son of Joan Kenyon Bobar and the late James Bobar. He was happily married to Lynda Slocum Bobar for 11 years.

Jim loved racing, boating, camping, and most of all making memories with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda, his mother Joan, his children; James Eric Bobar, Jenna (Michael) Bobar, Joshua Schardin, and Matthew (Tiffany) Schardin, his grandchildren; James Clark Bobar, Matthew Jason Bobar, Jaxson Schardin, and Jase Schardin, his brother, Kenneth (Nancy) Bobar, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.

He is predeceased by his father, James Bobar.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 23 from 5pm-7pm at the White-Van Buren Funeral Home, 1779 Main Street Delanson, NY 12053. A service will take place at 7pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jim’s name can be made to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6 Waltham, MA 02451, or to the National Kidney Foundation, 30 East 33rd St. New York, NY 10016.
