Irving E. Colliton, 76, passed away at home on Thursday, December 12, 2024. He was born in Schenectady on June 20, 1948 to the late Irving and Pauline Colliton. He was raised in Duanesburg and graduated from Duanesburg Central School District in 1966. Irving worked as a machinist for General Electric Company for his entire career and retired August 31, 1999.
Irving loved to play all different card games and often played Pinochle at the Guilderland Senior Center as well as with family whenever he could. Irving also enjoyed collecting coins of all varieties and cultures and developed a large collection. Irving loved cars and loved to tinker with the older ones. He especially loved his little red mustang convertible that he loved to drive his wife around in. Irving also enjoyed playing in casinos and riding his bike whereever he could near his home. The greatest love of Irving’s life was spending time with his beloved wife of 53 years and his beloved family whom he was very close to. He was an especially special grandfather.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Barry A Colliton.
Irving is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Colliton; his children A’ndrea Perrine (Fred) and Jason Colliton (Geri); his grandchildren Hillary Brunet (Shawn), Katie Warren (Patrick), Audra Colliton, Alexis Perrine; his great-grandson Miles Warren; and his sister-in-law, Pat Colliton.
