Harry L Christie

Harry L. Christie, 81, of Rotterdam, NY. Beloved husband of Patricia Christie, passed to eternal life on November 9, 2017 with his loving family at his side.

Born in Clifton Park on January 10, 1936. He was the son of the late Louis and Minnie (Herold) Christie. He is survived by his dear brother Dale and sister in-law Marlene Christie, daughters Amelia and Sylvia Christie, stepdaughters Jennifer Randio, and Kerri (Ern Farreny) Randio, and grandchildren Brianna, Ernie, Andrew, niece Marie (Christie) Hudson, nephew Louis Christie, great nephew Cole Zarecki, and several cousins. In addition, Harry was predeceased by his son, Harry L. Christie, Jr.

Harry graduated from Rochester School for the Deaf and The Royal Barber School in Schenectady. He worked at Joe’s Barber shop on Broadway for a period of time. He then pursued a position as a union machine operator at Campbell Plastics. He retired after many years of work.

Harry was a former member of Knights of Columbus, and belonged to the Albany Silent Club and Capital District Deaf Club. He enjoyed having long talks with his brother Dale, spending time with his family, friends, and grandchildren, bowling on a deaf league (ASC) with friends, and watching the Washington Redskins, White Sox, NASCAR racing, History Channel, and CNN.

Interment will be in Memory Gardens Colonie NY
