Francis Glenn Cummings

Delanson- Francis Glenn Cummings, 85, passed away on April 18, 2015 at the Baptist Health Nursing Center where he resided for 5 days.
Glenn was born in Pittsburgh PA , the son of the late Glen and Ruth Green Cummings. He graduated from Franklin HS and continued his education at Indiana University of PA where he majored in Instrumental Music. He also completed post graduate work at Berkley School of Music in MA and Crane School of Music in Potsdam NY.
Glenn served his country during the Korean War. He was a member of the 18th Army Band. After serving in the Army, he taught instrumental music at several schools. His last position was at the Duanes burg Central School. After retiring from teaching in 1984 he played the organ at Christ Church of Duanes burg for over 20 years.
Glenn enjoyed playing golf, and listening to big band music. He also loved spending time with his canine and feline friends.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 47 years Marjorie, his sister Peggy Last and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his canine friend Willy and his feline friends Major, Mosey, Calli and Jethro.
He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Mary Jane.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 25, 2015 at 12 pm at the Christ Church Episcopal Route 20 Duanesburg immediately following interment will be in Grove Cemetery Quaker Street NY.
