Delanson- Eugene Fredrick “ Ouigan” Gignac ,4 days from 82 , lived in the town of Delanson and passed away on Friday September 23, 2016 with his loving family at his side.
Eugene was born the 27th day of September 1934 in the town of Niskayuna NY to Eugene and Rita Furness Gignac brother to Ron and Fred and Linda.
He served in the United States Army and was employed as a driver for the Millbrook Bread Co. ,retired as a custodian and worked part time for Duanesburg Central School and was a wing man for the Duanesburg Highway Department and a good caretaker for his wife Dorothy.
Eugene loved working , vacationing , loved having time with his family especially his grandchildren. He simply loved people and always supported his local benevolences.
He is survived by his wife Dorothy, his brother Fred and his sister Linda Walker sons David, Scott, Mark and Jay Gignac 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and a host of friends .
Family and friends are invited to call at the White VanBuren Funeral Home 1779 Main Street on Tuesday September 27, 2016 from 4pm to 7pm.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday September 28, 2016 at 11 am at the Esperance -Sloansville United Methodist Church Main Street Esperance NY. Interment will be private.
