Fonda NY- Emma “Koons” Dennis, 93, formerly of Esperance, passed away peacefully on November 6 2015.
She was born on June 3, 1922 a daughter of the late Howard J. Koons and Lulu Keyser Koons.
She had resided in Esperance since 1952 until she moved to Fonda 12 years ago. She resided with her niece Lula Wilmot for the last five years.
For several years she was employed at Joe’s Market Amsterdam.
Emma was a former member of the Esperance Sloansville United Methodist Church Esperance NY.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Emma was predeceased by her parents, her husband John Dennis in 1980 and her two brothers William J. Koons and Walter B. Koons Sr both in 2003.
Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services on Wednesday November 11, 2015 at Grove Cemetery at 10;30 am Route 395 Quaker Street NY. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
