Elaine S, Freer, 66 of Rotterdam, passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Ellis Hospital.
The daughter of the late John and Evelyn Tuft Freer, Elaine was a graduate of Duanesburg High School.
She was employed at General Electric for several years, VERNADO Inc. and has been working as an Administrative Clerk at Solomon & Solomon PC in Albany for the past 26 years.
Elaine was a licensed pilot and worked as a radio personality on local Amsterdam radio station ….. in Amsterdam.
She enjoyed reading and having a cup of coffee at Barns & Nobles with her daughter, and was member of a Bowling league at Town & Country Lanes.
In addition to her brother, Elaine was also predeceased by her brother Ronald Freer who died in 1994.
Elaine is survived by her daughter Danelle J. Bower of Rotterdam, five sisters; Sylvia (Tom McManis of Spencerport, NY, Caroline (Joe Trembly) Quinion of Nelliston, NY, Jackolyn (Bob)Brumley of Amsterdam, Barbara Perkins of Panama City, Fla. and Susan (Ted Jr.) Beebe of Saratoga Springs.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews,
Calling hours will be held on Thursday evening from 4-7 pm at the White-Van Buren Funeral Home, 1779 Main St. in Delanson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, 10 am at Christ Church of the Hills, 4809 Mariaville Rd.
Burial will be at Schenectady Memorial Park.
