Donald Rodney Labier Sr.

Duanesburg - Donald R. LaBier Sr., 81, of Duanesburg, New York, passed away peacefully at home on Friday May 4, 2018. Fondly known as “Frenchie."

Donald was born in Plattsburgh, NY on June 21, 1936 to Lillian Duso and Ferdinand LaBier. In 1957 he entered the U.S. Marine Corp serving from February 1960 to February 1963. He was Honorably Discharged as a Corporal. Donald was a member of Elks lodge in Guilderland NY. He established himself as a local real estate investor /owner.

Donald is survived by Elizabeth Hayes and his four children, Donald LaBier Jr. and wife Lois; Elizabeth Skinner; Tammy LaBier; and Brenda LaBier. Grandchildren: Christopher, Heather, Edward, Thomas and Alesia. He is also survived by his sister Violet Korthas of Scotia and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours from 9:00-10:00am at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1735 Alexander Rd. with a Mass following at 10:00am. Entombment with military honors at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY 12871. Monday May 14, 2018 at 2:00pm. Memorial donations may be made to the Guilderland Elks Lodge No 2480, 3867 Carmen Rd, Schenectady, NY 12303.
