Clifford S. Bradshaw, 64, of Albany County, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, surrounded by family.
Born in Princetown on April 11, 1950 to the late Clifford R. and M. Janet
Bradshaw, he was raised on his family’s farm and educated at Schalmont High School.
He was a great outdoorsman, who was most at ease in the Adirondack
Mountains with his tent, canoe and fishing pole. He saw the beauty in
nature, often spotting bald eagles or lady’s slipper flowers, or staring up at the clouds.
A man of musical talent, he loved to strum his guitar, and taught himself
how to play several instruments, including drums and the flute. Clifford
had a close relationship with God and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He loved to make people laugh with his practical jokes and
wisecracks.
He is survived by: three children Clifford T. (Lori) Bradshaw, Matthew
(Sarah) Bradshaw and Sarah (Christopher) Colomello; sisters Barbara (Galen) Armstrong, Lynda Battaglia and Deborah (George) Bowdish; as well as nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will follow calling hours from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday,
July 19th, at the DeMarco-Stone Funeral Home, 1605 Helderberg Ave. in Rotterdam.
A private interment will be held be at Fairview Cemetery in Princetown.
In lieu of flowers, bring a Clifford the Big Red Dog toy to the service,
which will be donated to a local children’s hospital in his honor.
