Bruce B. Schaeffer

DUANESBURG - Bruce B. Schaeffer, 82, passed away on Tuesday April 23, 2024 suddenly at home. He was born on November 1, 1941 to the late VanTuyl and Georgina Schaeffer. Bruce was a mechanic and head bus driver at Duanesburg Central School for many years. He also volunteered for Duanesburg Ambulance Corp and is an honorary life member.

Bruce is survived by his wife of 61 years, Doris; his three sons, John (Denise), Glen (Tracey), and Bryan (Terry); his grandchildren, Levi, Cassidy, Noah, Emily, Travis, Cayla, Valerie, Jack, and Joey; and his sister in law, June Van Wie.

Bruce has been privately cremated. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Saturday May 4th at the White Van Buren Funeral Home, 1779 Main St., Delanson. A private burial will take place at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Duanesburg Volunteer Ambulance Corp, 130 Cole Rd., Delanson, NY 12053.
