Arline Warwavesyn (Phillips) Miller

January 23, 1924 — June 10, 2017

Fort Edward- Arline  Phillips Warwavesyn Miller , formerly of Rotterdam, passed away at the Fort Hudson Nursing Home in Fort Edward on June 10, 2017. She was born in Edwardsville Pa on January 23, 1924 a  daughter of the late John and Bertha Wytanis Phillips. After graduating Edwardsville H.S. in 1941 ,Arline moved to Queens NY where she met and married on November 14, 1942 her first husband Peter Warwavesyn who died on April 26 ,1975. They moved to Quaker Street in the late 1960’s where they owned and operated The Long Shadow Restaurant. Arline loved gardening and spent her free time tending her plants. An excellent seamstress , she made most of the clothes her young daughters wore and many household items. She was predeceased by her second husband Joseph Miller of Titusville FL.whom she married on May 6, 1990 in Florida. Also by her grandchild Sarah Jane Wolfe, 7 brothers John (Jack),Edward, Albert, Thomas, Joseph,Theodore, James and two sisters Rita Lisowski and Joan Suszko.
Arline is survived by her daughters Joyce Warner , Wright NY, Carol  (Sandy)Bonfiglio,Aurora Colorado, Jane (Ron) Parsons ,Glens Falls NY and her foster daughter Nancy  (Paul) Essegian Castleton  NY , her sister, Bertha (Gino) Simonetti ,Macungie Pa ,her brother Richard Phillips ,Columbus OH.  And her 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services are private. A private burial will be at Grove Cemetery next to her first husband Peter.
The family  would like to express gratitude to the memory care section of The Landing in Queensbury and to the Community Hospice of Saratoga for the kindness and compassionate care they provided to Arline. In lieu of flowers the family respectfully requests to make contributions to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and or Hospice.
